Mexico Climate

 Climate Types

Although Mexico has a large variety of climate types, the three major climate types are semi-arid, tropical wet and dry, and temperate with dry winters. In semi-arid temperatures you can expect partialy dry areas with little rain. Due to the little precipitation, this climate can’t support trees and wildlife so there are very few scattered trees. In the tropical wet and dry climate, the temperatures are pretty high during the year with plant life in this climate including shrubs due to lack of regualr rainfall. In temperate with dry winters temperatures very but are pretty moderate which allows good grow for crops in this climate type.V

As far as temperate-altitudinal zones, Mexico contains all the main zones; tierra caliente, tierra templada, tierra fria, tierra hilada, and snow cap. Typically in Tierra caliente you have hot, tropical agriculture like banans, sugar, tobacco. Tierra templada is the most populated zone where coffee, corn, and wheat. Tierra Fria is the highest zone in central america and crops such as barley and potatoe are farmed. Tierra helada is the second highest temperature altitude zone, which is cold and barren with very little vegetation and grazing sheep. Lastly, the top temperate zone is tierra nevada full of snow, these altitudes are found in the sierra nevada mountains.
